Executive Director

Position Summary:

The Executive Director will be responsible for overseeing the administration, programs, and strategic plan of the organization. This role includes significant responsibility in fundraising, marketing, and community outreach. The Executive Director will work closely with the Board of Directors to ensure the organization’s financial health and operational success.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Organizational Leadership:

    • Collaborate with the Board of Directors to fulfill the organization's mission.

    • Provide regular updates to the Board regarding operations and performance.

    • Develop and implement policies and procedures to support the organization’s goals.

  • Staff Management & Mentorship:

    • Lead, motivate, and support staff, fostering a positive work environment.

    • Conduct regular performance evaluations and support professional development.

    • Ensure effective staffing and resource allocation.

  • Financial Management:

    • Oversee financial management, including budgeting, forecasting, and reporting.

    • Develop and monitor the annual budget, ensuring alignment with organizational goals.

    • Ensure compliance with financial regulations and best practices.

  • Fundraising & Development:

    • Develop and implement a comprehensive fundraising strategy.

    • Cultivate relationships with donors, foundations, and other funding sources.

    • Lead major fundraising campaigns and events.

  • Program Development & Management:

    • Oversee the development and implementation of programs that align with the organization’s mission.

    • Evaluate program effectiveness and implement improvements as needed.

    • Expand program offerings to meet community needs.

  • Marketing & Communications:

    • Develop and execute a marketing and communications strategy to enhance visibility.

    • Act as the spokesperson for the organization, representing it at public events and in the media.

    • Maintain strong relationships with stakeholders, including community leaders and partners.

  • Strategic Planning:

    • Lead the development and implementation of the organization’s strategic plan.

    • Conduct regular assessments and adjust the plan as necessary.

    • Identify opportunities for growth and innovation.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field (e.g., nonprofit management, business administration, social work).

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in nonprofit management or a related field.

  • Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.

  • Demonstrated experience in fundraising and development.

  • Knowledge of nonprofit financial management and budgeting.

  • Ability to work collaboratively with staff, Board of Directors, donors, and other stakeholders.
